Here's Your Boobs Mom!

Today was a busy day full of mommy/daugther activities. Before I left the house thing morning, I set up Briana's pool and sprinklers in the backyard. When we got home, I got sunscreen on her and then she put her swiming suit on. Then we went to my room so I could put my bikini on. I pulled the bikini out of my drawer, put the top on the bed, and took the bottoms in to the bathroom. Briana says "I'll get your boobs mom!" She grabs my bikini top, comes in to the bathroom, hands the top to me and says "Here's your boobs mom!" She's so silly!

The Moon

My sister is in town from Vegas. So because of that we stayed at my parents' house a little later then we normally would've. It was dark when we left. Here is the conversation we had as we were driving.....

Briana: "Mom, I see the moon!"
Me: "Yep."
Briana: "It's following us!"
Me: "Oh it is huh?"
Briana: "Yep."
Me: "Is it so very full?"
Briana: "Yeah because it ated too much!"

So in case you were wondering, the moon is full because it ated too much!

Baloo the Bear

So we are at the cabin again this weekend. We left at 1:00 this afternoon to go for a drive and got home at 9:00. On our travels we saw a heard of elk and plenty of animal tracks.

As we rounded a corner, we saw a bear on the side of the road. It started running when it heard the truck so I didn't get a picture. Briana said she didn't like it because bears are mean. So I said "What about Baloo the Bear? He isn't mean!" She says "Yeah, Baloo the Bear is a nice bear. Let's go back and see Baloo the Bear."

For those of you that are too young to know who Baloo the Bear is, he is the bear in The Jungle Book movie.

So we are now on a mission to find Baloo the Bear again!

Sit down, we need to talk.

Briana and I were upstairs brushing her teeth before bed. On our way down the stairs she stops, sits down, and says very seriously "Sit down Mom, we need to talk."

So being the ever obedient mom that I am, I sat down, wondering what on earth could be so serious that we need to sit on the stairs and talk about it.

She says "Mom, that toothpaste tastes like watermelon."

The Cops and the Dungeon

My kid is a picky eater. I know, shocking, especially since I'm not even remotely picky. Or something like that. And often she won't eat what I eat, nor will she eat when I eat.

We went to Andy's parents's (is parents's right Mel?) house for dinner tonight. Briana said she wasn't hungry and didn't want to eat so we didn't give her anything to eat. Andy's mom sent ice cream and brownie home with us for her to have for dessert after she ate, but when we got home, she still didn't want to eat.

So now that it's bed time, she's hungry and thirsty naturally. I told her she couldn't have anything, that she should've eaten when we did. "Give me something to eat or I'm gonna call the cops and they will take you to the dungeon." Yes, that is what she said to me. She then proceeded to pretend to call the cops, puts the phone up to her ear and says "Hello cops, come get her and take her to the dungeon. Ok thanks. Bye." It was beyond hilarious and super cute. She still isn't getting anything to eat.

Seriously, this kid should be a comedian!

Ode to clothes

Ok so I have to give a little history before I tell this story and it just might be TMI for some of you, but it's necessary for the story.

Usually I sleep naked. And when Briana wakes up before I do, I just put my robe on and get her settled, then I'll go back upstairs and put on some clothes.

So this morning I hear her yelling for me at 6:45 so I put my robe on, go get her, and bring her into the bathroom with me so I can go pee and brush my teeth. Then we go downstairs and get her into some panties, I get her some strawberry milk, turn on the cartoons, and make me some coffee.

As my coffee is brewing, I go upstairs and put clothes on and get the dogs so they can go outside and eat breakfast.

So about 20 minutes later, we're sitting on the couch watching cartoons and Briana says to me "Mama, can you put some clothes on? I don't want you to be naked at school." LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL.....she just kills me sometimes!
